Sod installation, leaf removal, sprinkler blowouts, snow removal and weekly mowing for homes in Cottonwood Heights. About 20 minutes from our crew.

Cottonwood Heights yards, and what they need

Cottonwood Heights calls itself the city between the canyons, sitting on the east bench at about 4,820 feet between Big and Little Cottonwood. Neighborhoods like historic Butler, Old Mill and the streets off Fort Union Boulevard climb up toward the mountains, so a lot of yards here are sloped.

Bench yards bring their own jobs. Slopes are where retaining walls and gravel beds hold soil in place, and where sprinklers tend to run off instead of soaking in. Higher, colder ground also means an earlier freeze than down in the valley, so it pays to get sprinklers blown out on the early side.

We’ve done everything from leaf cleanups to full sod installs here. The back yard below went from bare dirt to new sod in one job.

What customers say

From our Google reviews.

I used Higginson to clean up my overgrown front and back yard in order to prep our house for sale. They did an amazing job. Have since re-booked them for additional work at the new place and that’s been great too—responsive communication, good attention to detail, fair pricing.

Cottonwood Heights questions

How soon do I have to clear snow in Cottonwood Heights?

Cottonwood Heights requires sidewalks and driveways to be cleared within 24 hours after a storm (City Code 14-32-060). Pile snow on your lawn, not in the street. Our snow removal can take care of it.

Where can I take bagged leaves in Cottonwood Heights?

Wasatch Front Waste and Recycling District runs a fall leaf drop-off at Station 110, 1790 E Fort Union Blvd. The old Bywater Park site is discontinued. Or our leaf removal rakes and hauls them away.

Do you install sod in Cottonwood Heights?

Yes. We prep the soil and lay new sod, including back yards like the one shown on this page. See sod installation.
